Celebrating National Dog Month at Team Cannabis
At Team Cannabis, we believe in community, compassion, and – of course – cannabis. This August, we’re going full tail-wag with an exciting and heartwarming campaign, running from August 8–28, in celebration of National Dog Month. Whether you’re a proud pet parent, an animal advocate, or just love seeing cute dogs (who doesn’t?), there’s something for everyone!
Supporting a Pawsome Cause
We’re partnering with Vancouver BC SPCA to help animals in need and raise awareness about the incredible work they do. During the campaign, we’ll be collecting:
- Dog and cat food (dry and wet)
- Treats, toys, leashes, beds, and carriers
- Cat litter and litter boxes
- Dog coats and pet accessories
All donations will go directly to the Vancouver BC SPCA and the furry friends that are closest to us.
You can also contribute through:
- Cash donations
- Participation in the BC SPCA 50/50 Lottery
- Shopping at Team Cannabis, where a portion of proceeds will be donated.
- Donating to receive a SPCA emergency pet sticker in store.
- Following the QR code on your delivery bag (or link below) to donate to animals with emergency medical needs
The Cutest Competition in Town
Think your dog is the absolute cutest? Prove it! Enter your pup in our Team Cannabis Cutest Dog Contest. Here’s how it works:
- Submit a photo of your dog or stop by our store to have their picture taken.
- We’ll post the submissions to our Instagram.
- Our followers will vote for their favorites.
The winning dogs will receive an epic doggie prize package!! And their humans? You won’t be left out – you’ll score some goodies too!
Treats for All !!
We’re turning the store into a dog-friendly celebration zone:
- Free treats for your pups
- Freezies and surprises for our customers
- SPCA emergency pet stickers available (by donation) to take home
Spreading the Woof Online and In-Store
Throughout the campaign, we’ll be shining a spotlight on the BC SPCA’s incredible work:
- In-store screens will showcase dogs available for adoption, donation details, and more
- Website will be featuring a Cannabis 101 article about dogs and cannabis, the best dog parks in Vancouver, and the inside scoop on Day of the Dog YVR 2025
- Social media stories and posts will include fun dog content, fundraising updates, educational info, and event info
- In-store and online literature
- QR code delivery bag inserts will connect you to all our dog-loving channels
